FORT WIDLEY PORTSDOWN HILL

We are proud to have completed a very unusual project for our clients Hampshire Fire & Rescue Service at Fort Widley Portsdown Hill, Portsmouth as part of our heritage works. Fort Widley is one of the grade 2 listed Palmerston Forts built on top of Portsdown Hill in the 1860’s to protect Portsmouth from attack from the rear & was used temporarily by our client as a rescue training facility. The project included the internal & external removal of a significant quantity of training apparatus materials forming disaster scenarios & the later installation of ecology bat roosts for some of the countries rarest bat species & masonry repairs.
Darren Hancock successfully completed The MHFA [Mental Health First Aider] Course recently. At RV Dart we take this issue very seriously and our commitment is to ensure ongoing awareness of mental health.
