R. V. Dart & Son (Builders) Ltd. is a privately owned limited company established in 1973. The company undertakes a broad range of building work including New Build & Extensions, Alterations & Refurbishments, Building Maintenance, and Historic Buildings work.

The company is solely owned and managed by Colin Andrews who is a professionally qualified member of The Chartered Institute of Building. It is our aim to build our client base with a view to carefully growing the business whilst maintaining direct control.

Our workload is sourced through various clients including Local Authorities, Healthcare Trusts, Commerce, Industry, Leisure Sectors and selected Architect managed work in the domestic sector. We work throughout Hampshire and neighbouring counties, generally within a 50 mile radius of our offices based in Romsey, Hampshire.

Our workforce consists of directly employed CSCS certified and trained tradesmen and SMSTS accredited working foremen supplemented with sub-contractors to undertake specialist trades. We endeavour to use a select group of sub-contractors to deliver a partnering approach to our business, which helps to secure the quality and performance required to take our business forward.

We operate an apprenticeship scheme linked to the CITB training carpenters and bricklayers to qualified craftsman status.

All works are directly controlled by our managing director to ensure quality, performance and cost effectiveness for our clients. The company has ISO 9001:2000 accreditation approved by ISOQAR certificate number 3243/02.

The company is a member of Constructionline, a UK register of qualified construction services (reference number 1166) and also maintains membership of the National House Building Council.

R.V.Dart is a framewrok contractor under the IESE (Improvement and Efficiency South East) Tier 3 arrangement. Working with IESE/HCC we help deliver both measured improvements and efficiencies on contracts by working collaboratively.
