FORT WIDLEY PORTSDOWN HILL

22nd May 2026News

We are proud to have completed a very unusual project for our clients Hampshire Fire & Rescue Service at Fort Widley Portsdown Hill, Portsmouth as part of our heritage works.  Fort Widley is one of the grade 2 listed Palmerston Forts built on top of Portsdown Hill in the 1860’s to protect Portsmouth from attack from the rear & was used temporarily by our client as a rescue training facility.  The project included the internal & external removal of a significant quantity of training apparatus materials forming disaster scenarios & the later installation of ecology bat roosts for some of the countries rarest bat species & masonry repairs.

St Bartholemew’s church, King Alfred Place

22nd May 2026News

We have now completed the works at St Bartholomew’s Church, King Alfred Place, Winchester for The PCC of St Bartholomew working with Lopp Architects & NT Surveying.

The project has successfully delivered a new accessible entrance to the church & lobby together with additional toilet facilities. The internal works included detailed oak joinery produced both on & off site by our direct workforce. Yet another heritage project for the whole team to be proud of!
