Refurbishment – RVDart

RV Dart has recently completed The University Of Winchester Business School Project to form a new Islamic Prayer Room.

The works consisted of converting the existing kitchen, office space & toilet area into new reception, consultation room, accessible toilet, and prayer room with wash facilities. This included new floor finishes wall decorations, installation of new ceilings, structural alterations & extensive mechanical & electrical works.

We are delighted to have collaboratively worked with the University of Winchester & Kendal Kingscott to deliver this successful scheme.

A new lease of life for the Baptist Church, Winchester.

Gordon Lockhart, the church secretary, said: “For a number of years we have been battling with damp and made the decision in 2018 to rectify this issue. We appointed local architects Seymour Bainbridge to prepare the necessary documentation and in March 2019 commissioned RV Dart and Son Builders of Romsey to undertake the works for us. “The work involved removing all the old render, allowing the elevation to dry out before new render was applied and decorated. As with any work to old buildings, there were surprises along the way such as finding there was very little structural support to the balcony.” [Reported in The Hampshire Chronicle]

Recently completed 1950’s style makeover of a dining area at Green Meadow Residential Care Unit, Denmead, Hampshire.

‘We are pleased to confirm our success with four separate tenders for the National Trust to refurbish a total of eight cottages at Hinton Ampner and the Mottisfont Estates.

Good progress is being made at the Catholic Church of the Sacred Heart, Bournemouth.

RV Dart is pleased to be the successful Contractor appointed to refurbish the Architects Department for Hampshire County Council. The site is The Three Minsters House, Winchester and the project will be completed in May 2019.

RV Dart have been appointed to carry out a complete refurbishment to The Deanery, Winchester Cathedral. The photo shows a temporary roof over the existing building. The scaffold access is in place to create a new internal staircase.

Winner RIBA South Awards 2017

RV Dart are proud to be the main contractor on the Winton Chapel, University of Winchester. The project won a design award at the RIBA South Awards 2017. The project included an extension and the refurbishment of the Victorian Chapel and was completed over eighteen months. The value of the project was circa £1.3M. RV Dart completed the refurbishment of St Joseph’s Church, Romsey for St Swithun Wells Parish in Romsey. The project included new heating, lighting and an assisted WC.

The project was completed on March 17th 2017.
