The job was a fast track summer holiday project at the Shakespeare Junior School, Eastleigh. This was a demolition of an existing covered external space between two buildings. The project then consisted of the formation of a new extension to link the two buildings, providing a new entrance, lobby, reception, medical room and teaching / circulation space. The first two images at the top are taken of the old covered external space. The lower two photographs show the completed new works.

RV Dart were one of three sponsors for the Andover and District Mencap Golf Day 2016. The event was held on Friday 29th April at The Test Valley Golf Club in Basingstoke. Our team was made up of Colin Andrews, Mike Westhead, Geoff Rhodes and Terry Harfield.
The Golf Day was set up to support those who work hard to improve the lives of people with learning disabilities. It was an excellent experience which we thoroughly enjoyed.
RV Dart has entered Zac Fullick who is our first year apprentice bricklayer in to a CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) skills competition. Skillbuild is run by the CITB and is the largest multi-trade competition in the country. The competition covers ten craft occupations and runs regional heats between April and June each year with the national final in the autumn. We wish Zac well in the coming heats.

We are delighted to announce that RV Dart has been appointed to carry out the refurbishment work on the WC’s and Kitchenettes at The Elizabeth 11 Court South in Winchester. These offices are used by Hampshire County Council. The work on the Grade 2 Listed Building will begin on 8th May.
RV Dart have completed the building works at the Tiptoe Primary School in Tiptoe, Lymington. The works included alterations to an existing classroom and the construction of an extension to form a new classroom teaching space, Quiet Room, Toilet and Kitchenette. The external works included the extension of the playground and car parking space.

This work was a complete internal and external refurbishment of an existing dwelling at Winchester College for one of the College staff.
There is always something going on at RV Dart. Colin, our Managing Director recently purchased a plugin ‘hybrid’ car which means that the car uses more than one means of propulsion. This type of car uses a normal petrol engine with an electric motor. The advantage of using a hybrid car is that it uses less fuel and emits less CO2 emissions than most conventional cars. Running cleaner with better mileage adds up to being an environmentally friendly vehicle.
We thought you might enjoy this snapshot of RV Dart working today on the Presbytery ceiling at the Winchester Cathedral. It was great to be part of a team working on a building over 900 years old.
